FDI Summit to focus on key foreign investment factors

The participants of the conference will mainly present the results of recent studies on prosperity, competitiveness, business innovations, good practices, approaches and tools for drawing foreign direct investments, said Brane Krajnik, head of The Slovenia Times, which co-organised the event along with the Ljubljana Faculty of Economics.

This year, the conference will feature economy expert William Lazonick from the US and head of the London think-tank Legatum Institute Alexandra Mousavizadeh.

Head of research and development at the Institute for Strategic Studies Jure Stojan will hold a discussion on competitiveness, while founder of collaboration platform Challenge:Future Andreja Kodrin will lead debates about talent.

The FDI Summit will also feature two round-table debates, which will be led by Tine Kračun, the director of the Institute for Strategic Studies and Marko Mlakar of executive search company Amrop Adria.

The debates will be attended by Education Minister Maja Makovec Brenčič, Bank Asset Management Company (BAMC) chief executive Imre Balogh and Matej Potokar, General Manager Customer Service and Support,Western Europe, among others.

The conference's main conclusions will be presented by Sonja Šmuc, head of the Manager Association, and Giles Dilnot, head of communications at the Legatum Institute and BBC television presenter.
