By December, the Slovenian National Gallery meanwhile attracted over 100,000 people after a three-year renovation and an extension of its oldest wing.

The gallery now comprises almost 13,000 square metres in two buildings and a connecting glass and steel wing. Several new artists have been included in the permanent collection to cover the whole territory of present-day Slovenia.
