The exhibition marking the 160th anniversary of Tesla's birth at the Cankarjev dom arts centre attracted more than 30,000 people in the eight months of being on display.

Cankarjev dom organised a number of accompanying events to the Nikola Tesla - a Man of the Future exhibition, including eight talks by internationally acclaimed experts, the screening of the 1980s film The Secret of Nicola Tesla and a music and theatre project called TESLA.

The Genesis exhibition by Salgado at the Ljubljana City Museum and the Jakopič Gallery meanwhile attracted almost 21,000 people with almost 250 black and white photographs of Earth.

By December, the Slovenian National Gallery meanwhile attracted over 100,000 people after a three-year renovation and an extension of its oldest wing.

The gallery now comprises almost 13,000 square metres in two buildings and a connecting glass and steel wing. Several new artists have been included in the permanent collection to cover the whole territory of present-day Slovenia.
