Conducted by Israeli conductor and violinist Pinchas Zukerman, the orchestra will play its Beethoven programme.

Violin Concerto will be played by Zukerman, who is widely regarded as one of the greatest violinists of the second half of the 20th century.

The concert is being advertised as a present to Slovenia on Culture Day, 8 February.

Founded by Sir Thomas Beecham in 1946, the orchestra is considered one of the most innovative philharmonics in the world.

The mission of the orchestra, which has collaborated with numerous pop and rock icons, is to present top quality music to wide audiences.

Since 2009, Charles Dutoit has been the orchestra's artistic director and chief conductor, and Zukerman its principal guest conductor.
