Štuhec finished behind Sofia Goggia of Italy and Lindsey Vonn of the US.

Štuhec has already secured overall victory in the combined and still has the chance to win both the Super-G and downhill standings. She can also vie for the overall World Cup victory.

"It was very good. If it had been ideal, I would probably have won," Štuhec said after her 11th season podium. "Generally speaking I'm satisfied with my performance today."

There are six races to go before the end of the season, including one downhill and one Super-G, the strongest events for the Slovenian racing specialist.

All the races will take place in the US starting with slalom on Friday.
