LJSE launching trading platform for non-listed companies

The platform benefits investors by facilitating the purchase and sale of non-listed securities in a transparent manner and under supply-and-demand conditions, the LJSE says.

One factor behind the introduction is the recent elimination of free accounts that had been maintained by the Central Securities Clearing Corporation.

Investors stored many non-listed shares on their accounts and now they have had to shift them to payable trading accounts. The LJSE hopes to benefit from investors wishing to sell such securities.

At launch SI ENTER will include the shares of 76 firms that have so far been traded over the counter. There will also be segments for bonds and commercial notes.

The system will be presented at a round-table today hosted by the LJSE and featuring traders and analysts.
