Foreigners' interest in Slovenian real estate growing

Nekategorizirano

Foreigners purchased a total of 186 houses and 166 apartments in multi-apartment buildings.

Nationality-wise, Italians made the most purchases, but their share was down compared to 2015. They were followed by Austrians and Germans.

While Italians were interested in real estate on the coast and in the south-western Kras region, Britons showed more interest in north-western regions of Gorenjsko and Goriško.

Austrians and Germans were primarily interested in properties in north-eastern Slovenia, while Serbians were attracted the most by the capital of Ljubljana and Slovenia's second city Maribor.

The biggest number of houses purchased by foreigners were located in Kras, while demand for apartments was strongest in Ljubljana and Maribor.
