The six-day global conference, uniting more than 2,000 participants, will start on Monday and end on Saturday, 13 May.

In addition to Smerkolj, several Slovenian managers will fly to New Delhi under the patronage of the Managers' Association of Slovenia and the All Ladies League Slovenia.

Among them are Sonja Šmuc, the association's executive director, Sonja Klopčič, the author of the first Slovenian book on leadership and Andreja Cepuš, the president of the All Ladies League Slovenia and the founder of the Envir connective centre.

The WEF events are organised by the All Ladies League international women's chamber throughout the year and across the world and aim to economically empower women to take on stronger leadership roles, said the Managers' Association.

When it comes to gender balance in leadership positions, Slovenia is among the ten best countries in the world - the WEF ranks it ninth in gender equality, according to the association.
