Kozmus Wins Bronze

Japanese Koji Murofushi, the Olympic champion from 2004, won gold with a 81.24 m throw, while silver went to Krisztian Pars of Hungary, who was only 6 centimetres shorter than Murofushi.

This is the fourth medal for Slovenia at world athletics championships and third for Kozmus. He also won gold in Berlin in 2009, and silver in Osaka in 2007.

This was also the first major competition for Kozmus, the reigning Olympic champion in hammer throw, after a one-year break.
