Third round of govt-business staff exchange considered success
A total of 75 employees in 36 companies and six ministries took part in what PM Miro Cerar described as an excellent problem that shows how Slovenia can progress.
The exchange is aimed at addressing specific challenges and during this year's programme ideas were found on how to motivate civil servants, strengthen cooperation between ministries, make e-services more user friendly, and expand the reach of the brand I Feel Slovenia.
"It is important that the public administration and business learn how to work together and understand each other," Cerar said. He highlighted the importance of mutual respect, noting that "every citizen counts and each must be shown respect".
"I wish the consciousness progresses towards tolerance and social intelligence, for a safe and tolerant society. I want to remain a part of this story, this project. You are the core that will spread this spirit. Slovenia must go on peacefully and stably," he said.
"At a time of technological reshuffling, Slovenia can become one of the most important countries. We know so much others are in awe when we can present that well. Slovenia can be a star in the sky," added Public Administration Minister Boris Koprivnikar.
The project is a collaboration between the Public Administration Ministry and the American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham).
