The heat will persist for at least a week, said Slovenian Environment Agency (ARSO) meteorologist Jure Cedilnik.

It will be hot and dry from Tuesday on, and by the end of the week, it will be around 20 degrees Celsius even in the morning and during the night.

Daytime temperatures will reach as high as 33 and 34 degrees, and while an occasional storm is possible, it will be rare.
