Industrial enterprises top pre-crisis levels

According to the Statistics Office, almost 75% of the manufacturing turnover was generated on foreign markets.

Compared to 2015, the turnover increased by 5.7%. The strongest growth, at 35%, was posted in rubber and plastic products manufacturing.

Meanwhile, the biggest slowdown was recorded in printing and reproduction of recorded media, at the annual rate of 7%.

In the past five years, the sales increased the most in manufacture of rubber and plastic products, followed by manufacture of other transport equipment and repair of machinery and equipment.

It decreased the most in manufacture of textiles.

The biggest share in turnover was generated by manufacturers of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, followed by manufacturers of electrical equipment.

The highest share of manufacturing production sold on the domestic market was generated by manufacturers of beverages, followed by manufacturers of food products and printing and reproduction of recorded media.

On the foreign market, the highest share was generated by manufacturers of other transport equipment, who generated 95% of their revenue from exports, followed by manufacturers of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers.

The most successful statistical region was the central Osrednjeslovenska region, which generated more than 18% of the turnover in the country. The strongest industries there were chemical and electrical.
