Long-term head of GZS stepping down in autumn
Hribar Milič, who was first appointed the GZS interim president in November 2006 for six months, later worked as the chamber's director general between June 2007 and June 2011.
Between 2011 and May 2015 he held both senior positions - that of the president and director general until May 2015, after which he was appointed director general for four years.
His resignation comes after Boštjan Gorjup was appointed president in May, with whom Hribar Milič agreed "consensually, very professionally, correctly and friendly," to take on other tasks within the chamber.
"I'm honoured that I'll be given another post in an important field and I'll leave the current post to a new representative from the economy," he added.
Hribar Milič is happy to be leaving the chamber in a good condition: "I believe we have an extremely competent team. All important documents adopted by the Slovenian economy, various laws, collective bargaining agreements and tax changes have been birthed and built within the chamber."
The GZS has become financially stable and has so many projects that the financing of the chamber should not be a problem, he said.
