Hoteli Bernardin have been fully booked since July, as the number of guests rose by 3-4% from last year. "In the first seven months of the year, we have recorded higher prices of rooms compared to 2016, mostly because of the changed pricing policy and better guest structure," the operator told the STA.

Hotels will be fully booked until the end of the month, the operator expects. Figures also bode well for September, as Hoteli Bernardin recorded exceptionally high numbers of guests in June.

According to Hoteli Bernardin's figures, 70% of guests come from abroad, mostly from Italy, Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Compared to previous years, more guests have arrived from Hungary, Poland and the Czech Republic.

Operator Hoteli LifClass is also happy with the results so far, as the number of guests rose by 20% in the first seven months of the year, compared to the same period last year. The number of Slovenian guests rose by as much as 48% in the same period.

Guests from abroad represent 84% of all visitors, mostly from Italy, Austria and Germany. In addition to the growing number of domestic guests, the number of visitors from Russia and Serbia has also grown.

In the first eight days of August, the six hotels of the chain have been 92% booked, but the operator expects the average to reach 96% by the end of the month. It is also optimistic about the season, which it believes will "last all the way to October".
