To avoid the congestion, drivers are advised to leave the motorway at the Jesenice East exit.

Heavy north-bound traffic is also reported further south on the A2 motorway and on the Ljubljana ring road. The Šentvid tunnel there is being closed at intervals for safety reasons.

Traffic has also been increased on the western Ljubljana ring road between Koseze and Kozarje and on the eastern section between Bizovik and Malence, with temporary closures at the Golovec tunnel in the direction of Rudnik.

The tunnel at the Ljubelj/Loibl Pass border crossing in the direction of Austria is also subject to temporary closures due to traffic jams.

Longish waiting times are also reported from the Gruškovje, Starod, Dragonja, Sečovlje and Jelšane border crossings with Croatia.
