Thirty bids for two executive posts at bad bank

The board of directors of Slovenia's bad bank comprises three executive directors and four non-executive directors.

The non-executive directors will pick the candidates they will invite for an interview, but they may also decide not to invite anyone and not sign an employment contract with any of them, under the terms of the call.

The two posts for which the applications had been sought are currently filled by Janez Škrubej and Aleš Koršič, executive directors along with CEO Imre Balogh.

TV Slovenija reported that the pair would stay on even though they would not tell the broadcaster last week whether they were applying for the call by the 25 August deadline.

Following legislative changes BAMC executive directors are appointed for five-year terms. Their pay exceeds 10,0000 euro gross.

TV Slovenija reported that applications to the call have also come from abroad. Those considering to apply were said to include Igo Gruden, a former member of the crisis management of Factor banka, and Andrej Prebil, director of Hotels Bernardin.
