The participants, whose work got under way on Saturday with an opening reflection with Prime Minister Miro Cerar, came up with nine policy proposals ranging from agriculture and public services as well as green urban planning to sustainable consumption, education, technological inclusiveness and cybersecurity.

"Your contribution to the world will be essential," Cerar told them, but warned them of two aspects of science: it can lead to positive achievement or it can lead to various disasters. He stressed that digitalisation should be "digitalisation with a human face and purpose".

"I believe in you, the young people from all over the world as well as in Slovenia, that you will recognise the importance of the basic universal values we must all follow. At the same time, [I believe] that you will do all you can to make this world a better place," Cerar told them.

To draw up the manifesto, participants of this year's forum, focusing on the fusion of virtual, digital and real in the three key fields, engaged in discussions at three panels and workshops yesterday and today.
