The basketball team were better than all other Europeans, they were faster, more propulsive and more accurate.

"No, there is no losers' mentality with us, for some time now. Sometimes we are just too quick to forget what we're capable of," the paper continues.

Slovenians in general now know how to be confident enough, sly enough and bold enough for success. "In sport we are just more aware of it than in other fields - and it connects us more, if only for a day or two."
