The Tartan Army Children's Charity (TACC) will hand over the donation at the Stožice Stadium, where the qualifying match will be played in the evening.

Earlier this week, another Scottish charity, the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal also financed by Scottish football fans, donated GBP 5,000 (EUR 5,575) to the Bravo association for children and teens with specific learning difficulties. Members of the charity and Bravo met with the children at the hostel Celica this morning.

The TACC and Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal were established in 2006 and 2003, respectively as volunteer organisations run by supporters of the Scotland team. They donate funds to selected children's charities from countries visited by the team, the UK Embassy in Slovenia said.

"Botrstvo"- (Sponsorship in Slovenia) is a humanitarian campaign co-organised by the Slovenian Association of Friends of Youth and the Val 202 national radio station.

The project has recently raised EUR 30,000 by selling the sneakers worn by Slovenian teenage basketball star Luka Dončić at the EuroBasket, where Slovenia won the gold medal.

"Botrstvo" has so far collected ten million euros in donations, distributing the funds among more than 5,000 children from families in need.
