"My colleague Plenković and I will meet after the summit, together with our expert teams, to talk about the implementation of the arbitration award, about the border between Slovenia and Croatia," Cerar said before the start of the second day of the summit.

Cerar reiterated that this would be already their seventh meeting in the last three months and that close dialogue was conducted continuously.

There has been no progress so far, he said, while adding Slovenia's position that the focus should be on the implementation of the arbitration award remained completely unchanged.

Cerar expects Croatia will come to the realisation that it has to make a step forward and eventually accept implementation.

Plenković meanwhile repeated his invitation to Cerar to come to Zagreb to evaluate the progress made in what he termed an open border issue that needs to be resolved on the basis of principles acceptable for both sides.
