Spa resorts report record results in 2017
The number of foreign guests was up 22.9% to just over 432,600, while the number of Slovenian guests increased by 3.9% to more than 424,300, the Slovenian Natural Spas association said on Friday.
The number of overnight stays was up by 10.6% to 3.19 million. Foreign guests accounted for 1.6 million overnights (+20.2% y/y) and domestic guests for 1.59 million (+2.4% y/y).
On average, hotel capacities (10,375 beds in total) were occupied at 64.24%; this was 18.9% higher than the average occupation in Slovenian hotels in general, the association also said.
