Google has proposed cooperation in the area of Slovenian small and medium-sized companies where it could provide solutions to support exporters.

The company presented its centre designed to help small and medium-sized companies which recently opened in Warsaw, Poland, and also covers Slovenia.

Today, Google representatives were received by Aleš Cantarutti, a state secretary at the Ministry of Economic Development and Technology.

"Google sees Slovenia as a successful, technology-oriented, economically stable state which, through its well educated workforce and good business environment, offers many opportunities," the ministry added in a press release.

The delegation met State Secretary at the Prime Minister's Office Tadej Slapnik on Thursday and will be received by Minister of Public Administration Boris Koprivnikar today. It will also visit the National Assembly to meet Deputy Speaker Matjaž Nemec.

Slovenian government and business officials visited the US in September 2016 to meet representatives of several IT multinationals, including Google.

The government believes the companies developing technology for new business models represent an opportunity for Slovenia to make a breakthrough in business and technology.
