The group's earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to EUR 62m. The net debt to EBITDA ratio stands at 2.8, Impol wrote.

What is one of the largest exporters and industrial companies in Slovenia, mainly attributes the production and turnover rise to its expansion to Croatia, where it took over, TLM, a bankrupt aluminium producer from Šibenik, and helped preserve almost 400 jobs.

The company, which is excited about the ongoing road infrastructure upgrade in Slovenska Bistrica, announced it would probably already launch in March the first of four additional production halls in Slovenska Bistrica.

Impol, one of the few Socialist-era industrial giants from eastern Slovenia to have survived, employed 2,200 people at group level in 2016, roughly half of which in Slovenia.
