At the end of 2016, the company signed a EUR 9.8m contract with the Norwegian company wind farm operator Fosen Vind in what was the biggest deals for Kolektor Etra in the recent years.

As part of the deal, Kolektor Etra will deliver a total of 13 transformers in the coming years for Europe's largest onshore wind power project in central Norway.

As the company expects the trend of growth to continue this year, it will hire additional employees, with an emphasis on technical staff with master's degrees or PhDs.

Last year, the company purchased an additional 25,000 square metres of land at its existing location in the Ljubljana borough of Črnuče to expand its production capacity. Construction work is expected to start next year, Kmecl said.

This is the biggest investment for Kolektor Etra since 2012, when the company concluded a EUR 30m investment in a large production hall.
