Slovenia hosting SEECP summit as presiding country

On the first day, the agenda includes a formal session of the foreign ministers of SEECP, a meeting of political directors from the member countries and the annual meeting of the Regional Cooperation Council (RCC).

On Tuesday, Prime Minister Miro Cerar will host a meeting of the heads of state or government of the SEECP countries.

Launched in 1996, SEECP is a regional non-institutionalised process and a forum for diplomatic and political dialogue between the countries of the region. Slovenia assumed the one-year presidency of the process on 1 July 2017.

The motto of the Slovenian presidency, SEE4Future - Southeast Europe for Future, points to interaction and the importance of inclusion and focus on progress of the region.

The priorities of the presidency relate to the enlargement of the EU, security, prospects of young people and digital transformation of the society.
