The agency at the Kult316 centre, which is part of BIC Ljubljana, an educational centre featuring several secondary schools and a collage, will initially organise tours only for students but later also for the wider public.

It joins BIC Ljubljana's school restaurant, coffee shop, hotel room and microbrewery, which give students a unique opportunity to experience real-life situations and make them more competitive on the labour market.

"Together with their mentors, students will plan and organise trips for real tourists. This will be their first such experience," BIC Ljubljana director Jasna Kržin Stepišnik stressed at the inauguration ceremony.

Happy with the new investment, Education Minister Maja Makovec Brenčič said the Kult316 centre had built on linking education and business, so the ministry had no second thoughts whether to support its plan to add a tourist agency.

At the inauguration, the students also launched a new school beer - Kult316 Supreme, which they make at their microbrewery.
