With the long summer evenings ahead, The Slovenia Times hears from Dr Darko Brlek, Director of the Ljubljana Festival, one of the biggest festivals in Europe. On 28 June, the 66th Ljubljana Festival will open with the world premiere of Sfera Mundi - Voyage around the world, performed by the acclaimed Catalan theatrical group, La Fura dels Baus, founded in Barcelona in 1979.

One of Slovenia's tourist gems will mark a special milestone in 2018. This year is the 200th anniversary of the discovery of Postojna Cave. It will be a busy year for Mr Batagelj, CEO of Postojnska jama d.d., as they will complement their tourism portfolio with the opening of a boutique hotel in Jezersko. Mr Batagelj says that understanding a guest and the sustainable orientation of the tourist offer is the only way for Slovenian tourism in the future, pointing out that "Only where civilization ends, does paradise begin!"

As the sun shines and lazy days approach, I would like to wish you a wonderful summer season, wherever you find your paradise.
