Geneplanet offers a variety of gene testing products, which will now be combined into an "intelligent digital platform" called Health Intelligence.

Geneplanet has localised its products into more than 15 languages and directly sells its products in 30 countries around the globe.

The fresh funds will be earmarked for expansion to Western Europe, Asia and Africa, with the plan involving the launch of representation offices in London and Singapore.

"The investment will help us develop a successful portfolio of products which includes and exceeds genetics," director Marko Bitenc was quoted as saying.

Geneplanet was founded in 2008 and has almost 50 employees. It specialises in the development of preventive gene tests geared towards lifestyle improvements.
