According to a call published in the Friday edition of the Official Gazette, the ministry will accept bids until 28 September at noon.

Of the EUR 13.6m available, incentives amounting to EUR 7.6m have been secured for the cohesion region East Slovenia and the rest for West Slovenia.

The idea is to subsidise the construction of open broadband networks that will provide households in white areas with broadband access speeds of at least 100 Mb/s and with electronic communication services via these networks.

The aim is to secure such access to at least 80% of the population in the areas where broadband networks are not yet available and there is no market interest to build them.
