After the successful takeover, the management of the international segment of one of the leading Chinese producers of electronics and household appliances started the procedure of integration of Gorenje into the global collective, the Velenje-based company said in a press release on Wednesday.

This integration includes better utilisation of the staff potential of Gorenje, the release says, adding that Bobinac as vice-president would also be responsible for the marketing activities, strategies and campaigns of Hisense International around the world.

Commenting on the appointment, Hisense executive vice-president and Hisense International president Lan Lin said that it proved that Gorenje had a wide range of exceptionally talented individuals, whom Hisense would enable to develop further.

"It is a unique case, as a newcomer in the Hisense group had never before been appointed to such an important post. Bobinac's know-how and experience will be exceptionally useful in the harmonisation of our global marketing strategies," he added.

Bobinac said he believed that the appointment was a recognition of the good work done by the Gorenje team in recent years, and that he was honoured to be appointed to such a responsible post.
