MOS fair in Celje hosting 1,400 exhibitors
Robert Otorepec, the boss of the Celjski Sejem fairgrounds, which organises and hosts the event, said the fair remained loyal to its key fields.
These are home construction, camping and caravanning, tourism and food, equipment and material for crafts and industry, business services and consumer goods.
While neighbouring Croatia was last year's partner country, Croatia's eastern neighbour Serbia will be this year's partner, with Otorepec saying that the idea was to improve the economic cooperation between Slovenia and Serbia.
According to Serbian Ambassador Zorana Vlatković, Serbia's participation at MOS was a reflection of the growing trade in goods between the countries, which amounted to around billion euros.
Opportunities for cooperation and successful examples from practice will be discussed at an international business forum, which will also feature representatives of last year's partners, and whose topics will cover the economy of the entire region.
Among the events organised by the Chamber of Trade Crafts and Small Business (OZS), its boss Branko Meh singled out a round table debate at which entrepreneurs will present their problems and expectations to the new government.
As part of its exhibition space at the fair, covering 1,000 square metres, the OZS will set up a Tradesmen Street, which will present various professions to children.
The Ministry of Economic Development and Technology will also have its stand, with Minister Zdravko Počivalšek being on hand for talk and questions.
