Who wins the ring?

The Festival, which you can visit in the second half of the month of October, is of a competitive character, as at the end of the event awards are presented for the best performance, best stage management, best actors, best music and other artistic achievements. Special attention is given to the bestowal of the Borštnik ring -every year it is presented to an actor actress who has left a deep artist trace.

Accompanying program and international participation

Along with the competing performances visitors can also watch some of other outstanding repertoire achievements of the past season. Likewise during the festival in Maribor and also its surroundings various cultural happenings and the suchlike, which are of cultural importance, take place and where emphasis should be placed on professional discussions after competitive performances.

In Maribor in Slovenia we invite and will invite European cultural creators, festival directors and some foreign representatives, also with the intention of helping the best Slovene stage nominations to perform in Europe and around the world.
