While Slovenia's share for the entire economy is above the European average of 107 robots per 10,000 workers, it is still far below Germany's 322.

Slovenia meanwhile entered in 2017 the elite club of countries using more than 1,000 robots per 10,000 workers in the car industry, which generally has a high level of automation.

The figure for Slovenia was 1,075, which ranked it only behind South Korea (2,435), the US (1,200), Germany (1,162), Japan (1,158), France (1,156) and Austria (1,083).

South Korea is also the leader in the share of industrial robots per 10,000 workers in general. It used 710 in 2017 and was followed by Singapore with 658. The global average was 85.
