Slovenia's ICT industry expanded by 7% last year
The bulk of the turnover (90%) was generated by enterprises providing ICT services, and only a small portion (10%) by manufacturing ICT companies.
Most of the revenue was generated by telecommunications companies (EUR 1.4bn) and companies providing computer programming, consultancy and related services (EUR 1.3bn).
As much as 75% of the ICT industry represented computer programming, consultancy and related activities, where the number of enterprises increased by 7% in comparison with 2016.
The number of enterprises providing wholesale of information and communication equipment rose by 4%, as much as the number of those involved in data processing, hosting and web portals increased.
The number of telecommunication companies decreased by 3%.
