Announcing its decision, the SSH supervisory board said that Božič will assume his four-year term on 21 January 2019 and Koler on 1 December this year.

The pair will join chairman Lidija Glavina to complete the three-member board.

Vanessa Grmek, who was appointed by court after interim board member Andrej Bertoncelj was appointed finance minister, will end her term as of December.

Bertoncelj was named as stand-in for Nada Drobne Popovič, who tendered her resignation in April.

The release issued by SSH said that Božič had extensive managerial experience in the corporate sector and Koler as a jurist had long-term experience working in the banking sector.

The pair were picked based on an international call, which attracted 38 applications. The supervisory board's vetting commission shortlisted 24 candidates and then trimmed their number to eight and five. The supervisors picked the selected candidates among the five.
