While considerable investments have been completed over the past years in horse breeding and training infrastructure, the rest of the buildings on the farm have fallen into disrepair, according a press release following the government's session on Thursday.

The government and the Holding Kobilarna Lipica, a state-owned entity that operates the state-owned stud farm, signed an agreement establishing the Holding's title on several buildings.

The government said in the press release that the move will allow the holding to start applying for the permissions required to start investing in the buildings.

The holding was established earlier this year with a starting capital of EUR 10m, intended above all for the renovation of the hotels Maestoso and Klub. The renovation of Maestoso is expected to be completed in time for the summer tourist season next year.
