According to Unitur CEO Barbara Soršak, the hotel has 88 rooms with 176 beds. In the 35 years since it welcomed first visitors, 260,000 guests from more than 90 countries stayed there for 900,000 nights.

Unitur, which celebrated its first anniversary in November, generated EUR 18.2m in revenue in the first 11 months of the year, which is 6% more than in the same period last year. The hotel welcomed 48,000 guests between January and November.

Last winter season, which lasted 100 days, 202,000 skiers skied on Rogla, Soršak said.

Unitur's executive director Aleš Slapar said the Rogla children's snow park was also renovated to make winter sport learning easier for children, youth and persons with disabilities.

Rogla also got a new parking lot for 40 campers and a new automatic device for ski maintenance.

Next summer, Unitur will open the first treetop walk in Slovenia on Rogla. The wooden construction consisting of a 560-metre long walkway up to 20 metres above ground will also include a 35-metre observation tower with another 440 metre circular walkway and a slide from the tower.

The value of the project is estimated at some EUR 4.5m.
