The team of Hooray Heroes, located now in new premises in downtown Ljubljana, has grown in two years from ten to over 100 people, while the start-up also has over 50 external associates who help it with writing, illustrations, translation and printing.

The company sold 90,000 books in 2017, while the number shot up to almost half a million last year, Hooray Heroes said.

One of the biggest hits of 2018 was a Christmas book created together with Adam Wallace, a New York Times bestselling author. It sold 200,000 copies.

Hooray Heroes is planning a further workforce increase in Slovenia, while it also wants to expand to new markets, for instance to Spain, the United Kingdom and Canada and thus cover most of Europe and Northern America.
