Barjanka runs from Ljubljana, through Brezovica and Vrhnika to Bistra, where there is the 1st refreshment point. The cyclists continue their journey through Borovnica and Brezovica to Jezero near Podpeč, where there is a 2nd refreshment point. This is followed by cycling along the Karst edge of Barje and further along the Iška river, through Črna vas and through the Iška fen to Ig, where is the last, 3rd refreshment point. The final part of the cycling takes place past the area of UNESCO on Ig and Babna Gorica to Ižanska road, which leads cyclists back to the city.
