It was developed under the supervision of Anuška Delić, a Slovenian investigative journalist of the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).

It will allow whistleblowers to upload files, documents, photographs, data, videos an clues. The forwarded data will be checked by Oštro's team of investigative journalists, and the information that will be forwarded will not necessarily also be published, Delić said.

The portal uses the SecureDrop system, open-coded software of the non-profit Freedom of the Press Foundation, and the whistleblowers need to follow precise directions for their protection.
