Pope Francis expressed his wish for fairness, security and solidarity to be present in Slovenia and wished all Slovenians happiness and fulfilment of their wishes.

On behalf of US citizens, Trump congratulated Pahor and noted that the US had been supporting Slovenia since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries in 1992.

Pointing out that Slovenia was celebrating the 15th anniversary of EU and NATO membership this year, he wrote in his congratulation letter that it was evident cooperation had been strengthened during those years.

He also acknowledged Slovenia's commitment to Transatlantic ties and said that US citizens appreciated the partnership with Slovenia and the countries' collaboration in NATO missions, with the latter demonstrating commitment to peace and security around the world.

Trump stressed the important role of Pahor in those efforts during the recent Three Seas Initiative meeting, adding that the US was proud to have Slovenia as its friend and ally.

Putin wrote in his congratulation letter that Russian-Slovenian relations were traditionally constructive.

He also expressed his conviction that through mutual effort the countries would be able to further develop dialogue and mutually beneficial cooperation, for mutual benefit as well as the benefit of entire Europe.

Macron wrote he was pleased he could send his wishes to the country, which was associated with France in their shared sense of commitment to the EU and its values.

France and Slovenia have established strong ties of friendship and such cooperation is needed for Europe to efficiently address challenges in terms of climate, security, migrations and economy, said the president's office.

Grabar-Kitarović expressed her belief that she and Pahor would strive to strengthen friendly relations between Croatia and Slovenia by maintaining dialogue and constructive cooperation for the benefit of the countries' citizens.

The Croatian president stressed the significance of such collaboration for security and prosperity in the increasingly complex global environment.

Pahor also received congratulations from Croatian President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović and Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić.

Swiss President Ueli Maurer, Dutch King Willem-Alexander, Swedish King Carl XVI Gustaf, Montenegrin President Milo Đukanović, Australian Governor-General Peter Cosgrove, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdođan, Czech President Miloš Zeman, Cuban President Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi and Japanese Emperor Naruhito also sent their congratulations.
