The line-up of senior guests at the 14th iteration of the BSF includes Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid, Spanish Foreign Minister Josep Borell, the candidate for the EU's new foreign policy chief, as well as the foreign ministers of Turkey and Finland, Mevlüt Cavusoglu and Pekka Haavisto.

Also expected in Bled are UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet and President of the UN General Assembly Fernanda Espinosa Garces.

The foreign ministers of most of Western Balkan countries are expected as well, to attend the panel on the Western Balkans, the closing event of the forum on Tuesday.

Although his attendance has not been confirmed officially yet, Croatia's new Foreign Minister Gordan Grlić Radman is likely to come, to talk about Croatia's upcoming stint at the EU presidency.

In all, around 1,000 participants from some 60 countries are expected to attend the two-day event to take part in debates under the central theme (Re)sources of (In)stability.

More than two dozen panels will explore issues ranging from multilateralism and protectionism, to the challenges ahead for the new European Commission, the circular economy and the situation in the region.

Apart from politicians some other interesting guests include economist Jeffrey Sachs and coffee mogul Andrea Illy.

The event will get under in afternoon with welcome addresses by Prime Minister Marjan Šarec and Foreign Minister Miro Cerar, followed by a debate with President Borut Pahor and his Estonian counterpart Kaljulaid.

The evening debate on multilateralism will feature the foreign ministers of Turkey, Spain and Slovenia, and President of the UN General Assembly Espinosa Garces.

Debates will resume on Tuesday, also as part of the Business Forum, which will explore topics such as artificial intelligence, climate neutral economy and tourism trends, with a special AmCham panel delving into how to make predictions in an unpredictable world.
