The high performance was achieved thanks to a 2,300-metre underground pipeline, which runs along a local road and allows the station to harness the energy of 74-metre drop.

The engine room features a generator with installed power of 850 KWh, and a horizontal-axis turbine.

The construction of what is Soške Elektrarne's 23rd small hydro station started in the second half of 2016. The station started operation in July 2018, and a technical inspection was conducted last October.

Soške Elektrarne currently manages five mayor hydro stations on the Soča river, 23 small stations and the Avče Pumped Storage Plant. Its annual revenue is in the EUR 36-42 million range. In 2018, it made a net profit of EUR 4 million.
