Business forum dominated by Slovenia-Serbia cooperation
The forum, hosted by the Vojvodina province and the Assembly of European Regions in Serbia in cooperation with Vojvodina's Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Novi Sad fairgrounds and Enterprise Europe Network, was also attended by the director general of the Slovenian food and fisheries directorate, Bojan Pahor.
Pahor said Slovenia and Serbia were cooperating well, and had a good and versatile bilateral trade.
He said that the long-term trend of growth continued and that trade between the two countries reached EUR 1.53 billion last year, a 13.7% increase compared to 2017.
Pahor also talked about potential for upgrading cooperation in the exchange of know-how and bilateral trade in food products.
The forum is being attended by respectable companies from the region, regional chambers of commerce and industry, regional development agencies and other institutions that are supporting the development of small and medium-sized companies.
Among the 164 participants from 21 countries from four continents are also representatives of the Slovenian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, several food-processing companies, the University of Ljubljana, the operator of Rogla ski lifts Unitur, spas Terme Laško and Terme Zreče, and the tourism company Sava.
