The Spa-Ce trade show is the only such event in Slovenia and the region, said the Slovenian Natural Spa Association, adding that this year Serbian and Lithuanian spas would be showcased for the first time, while Croatian and Bulgarian spas will deliver repeat presentations.

The trade show, held by the association and marketing-consulting agency Toleranca Marketing, hosted more than 300 representatives of foreign spa tourism agencies from 23 countries worldwide in the past ten years.

According to the association, the trade show has been aiming to create a platform for spas from central and south-eastern Europe where they can present their service portfolios to travel agencies and tour operators.

The project is supported by the Slovenian Tourism Board (STO), which believes that spa and wellness tourism has been opening up
opportunities for a modern customer to mitigate the effects of faster living.

The event, which will also be attended by Csilla Mezosi, the secretary-general of the European Spas Association (ESPA), will wrap up with individual meetings between spa resort representatives and agencies in Rogaška Slatina.
