Meanwhile Gorenje will comprise the production company in Velenje and the Gorenje group's subsidiaries. The company said in a press release on Tuesday that adaptation to new business environment demanded further boosting of efficiency and streamlined organisation of the Gorenje group.

These final steps of integration include the separation of management and production, the establishment of joint regional service centres and merger of the group's retail companies abroad, Gorenje said in a press release on Tuesday.

While Hisense Europe will be based in Ljubljana, some jobs in administration will still remain at the Velenje location.

Due to problems in finding skilled workers, some joint services for Hisense's companies in Europe will be set up in Velenje, and abolished in other parts of Europe where they are less viable.
