Equity capital accounts for the bulk of the increase, EUR 790 million, with reinvested profits at EUR 401 million, show the latest central bank data.

The pace of Slovenia's investments abroad is slowing, as the increase in outbound FDI totalled EUR 112 million, down from EUR 168 million in the same period last year.

At the end of last year inbound FDI stock was at EUR 15.2 billion, up 8.6% over the year before, with Slovenia's outbound FDI totalling EUR 6.1 billion, a 1.6% increase.
