The three experts picked by the ESA come from the software company Cosylab, aerospace and space service provider Balmar and the Jožef Stefan Institute. They will be working at the European Space Research and Technology Centre for up to a year, developing general technologies and conducting human-robot interaction research.

Economy Minister Zdravko Počivalšek believes that sending Slovenian experts to the agency is a great opportunity for know-how exchange and upgrade as well as for forging new business ties and strengthening the Slovenian space sector.

The ministry aims to enhance the role of Slovenia's companies within the ESA and the global space industry, prioritising strengthening the international cooperation.

Slovenia is providing support for five ESA programmes, with one of them being carried out in the the country's Planica Nordic Centre.
