The 4th Breakbeatnikk Festival continues the highly successful series of parties from the Radyoyo crew, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. The small but lively festival first hit the Krizanke open-air theatre in 1999, receiving a very positive response from the public and the media, and has since grown into one of the most distinctive music festivals for young people in Slovenia. Every Breakbeatnikk Festival offers the cream of breakbeat, drum'n'bass and hip-hop music with DJ sets and live performances from DJ's, bands, MC's and other funky artists. Breakbeatnikk provides a chance to hear artists one might never hear otherwise in Slovenia, and all on a top quality soundsystem. Radyoyo events have become a trademark for excellent electronic music entertainment, which attract an open-minded, generally positive audience and, for some reason, a lot of attractive girls. A special feature of the festival is its educational note - the ticket price includes workshops and lectures on music production and related activities. The workshops were introduced at last year's festival to fill a void that has been felt in Slovenia for a long time - that no education in modern urban music is available here despite a great interest in it. The workshops are hosted by the festival's guests, for who could be a better source of information than them? This year brings the hip-hop magic of Killa Kela & Spitkingdom Crew, live breaks with Rennie Pilgrem & TCR Allstars, allstyles / bashment DJ & MC set from Heartless Crew and live drum'n'bass from Jungle Drummer and DJ Fu.
