Lufthansa is hence again operating the Ljubljana-Frankfurt route. Wizzair resumed the Ljubljana-Brussels service.

In June, flights to Frankfurt will be operated once per day, except Saturday. Lufthansa will gradually increase the number of flights in July, including the popular morning departure and evening arrival service, reports the Sierra 5 aviation portal.

Prior to the coronavirus crisis, flights from Slovenia to Germany were also operated by British low-cost carrier Easyjet. The airline plans to resume the Ljubljana-Berlin service on 26 July, once per week, on Sundays.

Wizzair will operate flights to Brussels twice per week, Tuesdays and Saturdays, in June. In the second half of July, it will presumably add another service on Thursdays.

After two months and a half of restrictions, passenger air travel resumed at Ljubljana airport two weeks ago with the landing of an Air Serbia plane. Montenegro Airlines followed last week.

French flag carrier Air France is resuming flights between Ljubljana and Paris next Wednesday.

By mid-June, the airport expects to see the return of Lot, until the end of June, Swiss Air, Brussels Airlines, Transavia and British Airways. After 1 July, others are to resume services as well depending on the circumstances.

Iberia and Finnair meanwhile decided not to provide flight services to Ljubljana this summer season.
