The 35-year-old took part in four Olympic Games. She was sixth in the team sprint event in Turin 2006, in Vancouver 2010 she managed a 14th place in the relay competition and was 23rd in the classical sprint event, in Sochi four years later she was third in the sprint event, and ended eight in the relay event in Pyeongchang in 2018.

Fabjan has six podium finishes in World Cup events, including two victories, both in the freestyle sprint events held in Russia's Rybinsk in the 2009/10 and 2010/11 seasons.

Fabjan only took part in a few races in what would be her last season last winter, finishing in 97th place overall in the World Cup.
